Web Administrator / Platform Engineer (m/f/d) - Freelance · Part-Time · Full-Time · Remote

cryptoticker is an internationally focused crypto and Web3 news platform with a strong emphasis on speed, performance, and editorial quality. We serve a global audience and operate on a modern, scalable technology stack.

To further professionalize and scale our infrastructure, we are looking for aWeb Administrator / Platform Engineerwho will take ownership of platform operations, performance, and technical evolution while working closely with editorial and product teams.

Tasks

• Operate, maintain, and continuously optimize the cryptoticker platform
• Own deployments, environments, and release processes on Vercel
• Administer and extend our CMS based on Strapi
• Maintain, monitor, and optimize databases (Supabase, Neon / PostgreSQL)
• Ensure performance, availability, and security across the entire stack
• Manage DNS, caching, security rules, and WAF via Cloudflare
• Diagnose and resolve production issues, including long-term fixes
• Improve CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and observability
• Support and integrate Web3-related features, APIs, and external services
• Collaborate closely with editorial and product teams on new features and technical requirements

Requirements

• Strong experience withNext.jsin production environments
• Hands-on experience withVerceldeployments and environment management
• Solid knowledge ofStrapi(custom content types, APIs, roles&permissions)
• Experience withPostgreSQLand managed services such asSupabaseorNeon
• Good understanding of modern web performance, scalability, and security concepts
• Familiarity withCloudflare(DNS, caching, security, WAF)
• Basic to solid understanding ofWeb3 and blockchain technologies
• Self-driven, reliable, and comfortable working in a remote-first setup
• Fluent in English(written and spoken)
• German language skills are a plus, especially for internal communication
