About us

Empower developers to build novel decentralized applications with the power of zero-knowledge proofs.

Axiom builds zero-knowledge proof infrastructure that makes verifiable computation practical for developers. The company's focus is giving Ethereum smart contracts trustless access to on-chain data using ZK proofs — positioning ZK like GPUs for decentralized applications. With around 18 employees, Axiom operates from NYC with a preference for in-person work but accepts remote candidates. The team recently released OpenVM, a modular zkVM framework that lets developers verify Rust code execution, and offers the Axiom Proving API for production ZK deployment without specialized infrastructure.

Products

OpenVM is Axiom's core offering — a modular zkVM framework that allows developers to write programs in Rust and verify proofs on-chain with 100-bit security and formally verified correctness in Lean. The framework supports custom virtual machine extensions to accelerate proving for specific applications. The Axiom Proving API provides high-performance ZK proving infrastructure with reproducible builds and scalable proof generation. Axiom is also proving Ethereum mainnet blocks in real time and building an L1 zkEVM for mainnet scaling, with support for Scroll, OP Stack, and custom app rollups.

Funding

Axiom raised $20 million in Series A funding in January 2024, led by Paradigm and Standard Crypto. Robot Ventures and Ethereal Ventures also participated, along with builders and investors from across the ZK ecosystem including Flashbots, Scroll, OpenSea, EigenLabs, Optimism, Obol, Polygon, and Aztec. The company has raised a total of $41.4 million across four rounds, reaching a $155 million valuation by February 2025.

Recent news

In the last 12 months of sources reviewed, no recent (2025-06-13 to 2026-06-13) news specific to the blockchain/ZK company Axiom (axiom.xyz) was found in the search results. The only similarly named “Axiom” items surfaced were about Axiom Space (human spaceflight), including a June 4, 2026 announcement of an oversubscribed financing close above $525M—this is a different company than axiom.xyz.

Technology

Rust is central to Axiom's stack, used extensively for building ZK circuits and the OpenVM framework, often with the Halo2 proving system. Backend development incorporates Go and C/C++ for performance needs. Full-stack development uses Python and TypeScript, with frontend technologies including Next.js and Tailwind CSS. Infrastructure runs on Kubernetes and Terraform for cloud-native deployment. The team also uses Lean for formal verification and RISC-V architecture within their zkVM implementations.

Benefits

Competitive salary with equity, with compensation ranging from $125K to $200K. Health, dental, and vision insurance are provided, along with a 401(k) plan with company matching. Employees get generous PTO, paid holidays, sick leave, and paid parental leave. The company offers home office setup assistance for remote workers, team events, and company-sponsored outings. There's also an Employee Assistance Program and legal assistance available.
