About us

To build trust in onchain markets and make crypto more transparent.

Blockworks sits at the center of crypto as an information platform transforming raw blockchain data into actionable research, alpha-driven insights, and institutional-grade analytics. Founded in 2018 and headquartered in New York, the company operates across media, research, and software to bridge the trust gap between crypto issuers and investors. With 65-85 employees globally, Blockworks produces daily news, newsletters, podcasts like The Breakdown, and hosts major events including the Digital Asset Summit. The platform helps investors, operators, and institutions navigate onchain capital markets through market dashboards, protocol research, and treasury analytics. Following its 2026 acquisition of Messari, Blockworks has expanded into a comprehensive crypto data and intelligence platform.

Products

The core platform includes Blockworks Research for institutional-grade protocol analysis and governance tracking through GovHub. Blockworks Investor Relations helps onchain businesses deliver transparent financial disclosures through branded portals. The company offers a high-signal Data API for developers and operates a robust media network with daily newsletters, podcasts, and the flagship Digital Asset Summit conference. Market intelligence tools include dashboards for spot and derivatives volumes, open interest tracking, liquidations data, and treasury analytics across major crypto assets and networks.

Funding

Blockworks raised $12 million in Series A funding in May 2023, led by 10T Holdings with participation from Framework Ventures and Santiago Roel Santos, valuing the company at $135 million. In April 2026, the company completed a Series A extension co-led by ParaFi Capital and Reciprocal Ventures, bringing the valuation to $192 million. This round included Coinbase Ventures, MoonPay Ventures, and over 20 founders from projects like Solana, LayerZero, and Arbitrum. The funding supports expansion of research operations and consolidation of the crypto data market.

Recent news

In June 2026, Blockworks acquired its direct competitor, the crypto data and market intelligence firm Messari, in a move to consolidate the sector and accelerate the development of AI-driven tools for onchain markets. Separately, in early June 2026, Blockworks announced it would wind down its active governance role within the Arbitrum DAO to realign with its current business objectives.
