About us
Enable institutional participation in web3 by providing secure, compliant infrastructure and a trusted gateway for institutions to manage and access digital-asset opportunities.
Finoa provides technology infrastructure for institutions to securely manage digital assets and access web3 opportunities in a regulated environment. Founded in 2018 and based in Berlin, the company serves institutional investors and regulated VASPs with features like fully segregated wallets, multi-signature workflows, and fast on-chain verified transactions across 170+ supported assets and 12 blockchain networks. Operating under German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) oversight, Finoa emphasizes that it supplies technology rather than custody services — regulated functions must be performed by clients' own licensed entities. The company achieved profitability in 2024 and positions itself as a bridge between crypto innovation and institutional requirements.
Products
The core platform offers institutional-grade digital asset infrastructure across custody, staking, and trading. Key products include regulated custody solutions for 170+ digital assets, Finoa Consensus Services (FCS) providing delegated staking across 14+ networks including Ethereum and Cosmos-based chains, and Stake Desk for unified staking management. Finoa Markets serves as the institutional arm for professional capital allocators to access emerging protocols and curated investment opportunities. All services emphasize multi-signature governance workflows and compliance with institutional security requirements.
Funding
Finoa has raised approximately $48 million across three rounds. The company secured $2.5 million in seed funding in 2019 from German VCs and angel investors, followed by a $22 million Series A in April 2021 led by Balderton Capital with participation from Coparion, Venture Stars, and Signature Ventures. In January 2024, Finoa raised $15 million in a strategic round co-led by Maven 11 Capital and Balderton Capital, coinciding with the company's return to profitability and confirmation of its Qualified Custodian status by BaFin.
Recent news
In the past 12 months, Finoa Consensus Services (FCS) expanded its product portfolio with the launch of Stake Desk, a unified dashboard designed to simplify the staking experience for modular chains by providing a single interface for managing positions and rewards.
