About us

To create a more open financial system, starting with B2B payments.

Founded in 2013 and headquartered in Scotts Valley, California, PayStand operates as a B2B payments company focused on modernizing commercial finance through blockchain and cloud technology. The company has built what it calls the world's largest digital business payment network for B2B transactions, serving over 1,000 enterprise customers and processing $20B+ in payment volume across more than 1 million businesses. PayStand's platform digitizes receivables, automates financial processes, and eliminates transaction fees while reducing time-to-cash for mid-market and enterprise companies. Recognized on the Inc. 5000 list for five consecutive years and as a leader in mid-market accounts receivable by G2, the company has expanded globally through strategic acquisitions of Teampay (spend management) and Yaydoo (AR and AP platform in Latin America). Operations span multiple hubs including Santa Cruz, San Francisco, Austin, Minneapolis, Mexico City, Hermosillo, and Guadalajara.

Products

PayStand offers a comprehensive Payments-as-a-Service platform that automates the entire cash lifecycle for B2B transactions. Core products include AR automation for billing, collections, and reconciliation; AP automation for invoice capture, approvals, and vendor payments; and global payout capabilities. The platform operates a proprietary B2B payment network using blockchain technology to facilitate zero-fee, real-time bank-to-bank transfers. Key features include Check Scan, eCheck and ACH processing, Smart Lockbox, Canadian EFT, and AI-driven Push Payments. In April 2026, PayStand launched USDb, a 1:1 USD-backed stablecoin designed for commercial B2B finance including cross-border payments and treasury workflows. The suite integrates natively with ERP systems like NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics 365, and Acumatica.

Funding

PayStand has raised approximately $223 million across multiple funding rounds, achieving a $1.5 billion valuation as of November 2025. The company reached unicorn status in 2022 following a Series D round. Recent funding includes a $106 million Series D-1 round and a $7.53 million Series D-2 round in November 2025, both led by Gaingels. Other notable investors include Battery Ventures, NewView Capital, DNX Ventures, BlueRun Ventures, SoftBank's Opportunity Fund, Cervin Ventures, Commerce Ventures, and King River Capital. The funding supports scaling of PayStand's blockchain-enabled financial infrastructure and expansion of its B2B payment network.

Recent news

In April 2026, Paystand launched USDb, a stablecoin engineered specifically for enterprise financial operations, including B2B cross-border payments, payroll, and treasury management. The stablecoin is backed 1:1 by U.S. dollar reserves and is designed to run on Bitcoin-aligned infrastructure, specifically the Liquid Network and Rootstock. This launch leverages the company's acquisition of the payroll platform Bitwage in November 2025, which provides an established, live global payment corridor for USDb's initial commercial deployment.

Technology

PayStand's technology stack centers on blockchain and cloud infrastructure with embedded AI for payment automation. The platform uses Ethereum-based blockchain technology, specifically their proprietary Assurety Protocol, for secure B2B transactions. The application layer runs on Node.js and Express.js with RESTful APIs using OAuth2 for secure integrations. Front-end development utilizes JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js. Infrastructure relies on Docker and Kubernetes for containerization, with CI/CD through Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI. The platform maintains certified native integrations with NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics 365, and Acumatica, plus full API support for custom environments. Internal operations use Slack and Microsoft Teams for workflow execution and collaboration.
