Provable builds developer tools and infrastructure for private applications on Aleo, a privacy-preserving programmable blockchain. Funding

Provable has raised $228 million across two main rounds. The company closed a $28 million Series A in April 2021, led by Katie Haun with participation from Coinbase Ventures and Galaxy Digital. This was followed by a $200 million Series B in February 2022, led by Kora Management LP and SoftBank Vision Fund 2, valuing the company at $1.45 billion. Notable investors include Andreessen Horowitz, Tiger Global, Samsung Next, and Slow Ventures.

In July 2025, Provable appointed Damien G. Scott, a former executive at CoinList, as its General Counsel to lead legal, governance, and corporate strategy functions as the company scales its privacy-focused technologies.

Technology

Built primarily on Rust for protocol-level work, including the Leo programming language, snarkOS, and snarkVM. Backend infrastructure uses TypeScript with cloud deployment on AWS and GCP. Infrastructure management relies on Terraform, Ansible, Python, and Bash for automation. Security incorporates hardware security modules (HSMs) and multi-signature setups for key management. Development practices include CI/CD integration, threat modeling, and dependency security within the zero-knowledge cryptography ecosystem.
