In April 2026, SpruceID formally submitted comments to NIST's National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence, proposing a framework for the identity, authentication, and authorization of AI agents operating across enterprise and organizational boundaries. Earlier, in December 2025, CEO Wayne Chang participated in an SEC roundtable on financial surveillance and privacy and pitched the National Association of Public Health Statistics and Information Systems (NAPHSIS) on the adoption of verifiable digital credentials for vital records modernization.

Technology

Rust serves as the primary language for core digital infrastructure, chosen for memory safety and security requirements. The team works with other statically typed languages including Go, Java, and C#. Mobile development uses Flutter, Kotlin, and Swift for credential integration.
