About us
To prove the world's software by making zero-knowledge proofs simple and accessible to all builders.
Zero-knowledge proofs are critical to blockchain scaling, interoperability, and privacy, but remain too complex for most developers. Succinct makes ZK technology accessible by building SP1, a breakthrough zkVM that enables developers to generate zero-knowledge proofs from standard Rust code with state-of-the-art performance. Beyond the development framework, the company operates the Succinct Prover Network—a decentralized marketplace on Ethereum where provers compete to generate proofs efficiently through an auction-based model. The infrastructure is already securing over $4 billion in value across production deployments. Major crypto teams like Polygon (building AggLayer), Celestia and Avail (securing Ethereum bridges), and Mantle ($2B TVL, becoming the world's largest ZK Layer 2) rely on Succinct's technology. Other adopters include Celo, Interchain, Hibachi, Lido, Galxe, Taiko, and Sovereign. With zkVMs now central to Ethereum's scaling roadmap, Succinct sits at the forefront of this infrastructure shift.
Products
SP1 is Succinct's core product—an open-source, high-performance zkVM that generates zero-knowledge proofs for programs written in Rust, C++, and C without requiring specialized cryptography knowledge. Built on the RISC-V architecture and leveraging the Plonky3 toolkit, SP1 abstracts away complex circuit design. The Succinct Prover Network creates a decentralized marketplace where provers compete to generate proofs for requesters, powered by the PROVE token for payments, staking, and governance. The company has also built consumer applications like Zcam, an iPhone app using cryptography for photo and video provenance.
Funding
Succinct raised $55 million in a Series A round in March 2024, led by Paradigm. Participants included Robot Ventures, Bankless Ventures, Geometry, ZK Validator, and angel investors like Sreeram Kannan (EigenLayer) and Sandeep Nailwal and Daniel Lubarov (Polygon). The company previously completed a seed round in 2023. Total funding across both rounds is $55 million.
Recent news
In the last 12 months, Succinct has secured major industry partnerships to integrate its SP1 technology into prominent Ethereum Layer 2 networks. Notably, Base integrated SP1 to secure billions in deposits for its 'Base Azul' upgrade, and Optimism partnered with the company to enable instant withdrawals using ZK validity proofs. Additionally, in June 2026, the company launched Zcam, a new iPhone application designed to provide cryptographic proof of origin for photos and videos at the moment of capture.
Technology
SP1 is built primarily in Rust for performance and safety, running on the RISC-V architecture with the Plonky3 toolkit handling efficient proof generation. The Succinct Prover Network uses Ethereum as a settlement layer with smart contracts verifying state roots and proofs. Go powers scalable backend services, while the frontend uses TypeScript with Next.js and React. This vApp (verifiable application) architecture separates off-chain compute from on-chain settlement, enabling the decentralized proof generation marketplace.
Benefits
Succinct offers above-market salaries and generous equity grants. Health, dental, and vision insurance covers employees and their dependents. The company provides unlimited PTO and catered lunch and dinner for San Francisco office workers. While Succinct prefers in-person collaboration at their San Francisco headquarters, they consider exceptional remote candidates for senior roles, often requiring initial in-person onboarding. Relocation support is available for those moving to San Francisco. Additional perks include company-paid travel to industry events and conferences, plus specialized programs like ZK residencies for external contributors.
