About us
To simplify asset management using blockchain technology to create more transparent, efficient, and inclusive financial markets.
TokenForge builds compliant infrastructure for tokenizing real-world assets across Europe. Founded in 2021 and based in Berlin, the company helps financial institutions and asset managers digitize bonds, equity, funds, real estate, and other assets while staying compliant with European regulations like MiCAR, MiFID II, and Germany's eWpG. TokenForge made history in 2022 by facilitating the first digital security fully compliant with the German Electronic Securities Act. The team has deployed over 30 TokenSuite instances across five EU countries, reaching $2.2 million in annual recurring revenue by 2025. With 20 employees distributed across Europe, TokenForge focuses on building infrastructure that bridges traditional finance and blockchain technology without requiring clients to write code.
Products
TokenSuite is TokenForge's core API-first platform that lets issuers tokenize assets in under five days without coding. The platform handles financial products (bonds, shares, funds), physical assets (real estate), and intangible assets (patents, IP). TokenSuite includes customizable frontends, comprehensive investor management with KYC/registration/wallet setup, centralized dashboards, and audited smart contract templates. The platform integrates with existing corporate systems, custody providers, and regulated entities. TokenForge's native TKFG utility token allows issuers to stake for service fee discounts.
Funding
TokenForge grew initially as a self-funded business, reaching $2.2 million ARR by 2025 with a $6.6 million valuation. The company secured a 1 million euro equity investment from the Dr. Giesen Family Office and another 1 million euro private round from early backers. Hamburg-based coinIX GmbH also invested in 2023. TokenForge received approximately 102,354 euros in public funding for blockchain research and development. To finance expansion, the company conducted a presale for its TKFG utility token, targeting a €13.5 million hard cap through April 2026.
Recent news
In August 2025, TokenForge launched its native utility token, TKFG, utilizing the first MiCAR-compliant whitepaper for a utility token in Germany, which was prepared with legal advisory from Osborne Clarke.
Technology
The frontend uses React 19 with TypeScript, Tailwind CSS for styling, and Vite for builds. Recharts handles data visualization. Backend runs on Convex for serverless functions with Rust for performance-critical optimization engines. Blockchain integration uses Hardhat for smart contract development, Ethers.js for EVM chains like Ethereum and BSC, and Metaplex for Solana. Infrastructure relies on Docker containerization, GitHub Actions for CI/CD, and Vercel Edge Network for hosting. Security comes from OpenZeppelin libraries and DDoS-protected infrastructure.
