About us
To build a safer financial system for billions of people by detecting, deterring, and disrupting crypto-facilitated crime.
TRM Labs builds blockchain intelligence and AI solutions to help law enforcement, financial institutions, and crypto businesses detect and disrupt financial crime. The platform traces stolen funds, identifies criminal networks, and monitors sanctions risk across 184+ blockchains. More than 600 government agencies and financial institutions in 75 countries use TRM's data and AI agents, including the FBI, IRS, PayPal, and Visa. The company operates the Beacon Network, the largest public-private partnership in crypto, enabling real-time coordination to freeze illicit funds. Founded in 2018 and headquartered in San Francisco, TRM has offices in Washington D.C., London, Singapore, and other major cities while maintaining a distributed-first culture.
Products
TRM Forensics provides evidentiary-grade tracing and network analysis for criminal investigations. Agent, powered by Orion AI, integrates into Forensics to let investigators use plain-language queries to cluster syndicates and triage leads. Threat Graph maps 50+ categories of illicit activity across blockchains using on-chain attribution. The platform also includes transaction monitoring, wallet screening, sanctions compliance tools, and specialized products like Investigation360 and NatSec360 for defense agencies. TRM's BLOCKINT API lets organizations integrate blockchain risk data into their own systems.

Technology
The platform processes petabytes of blockchain data using a modern stack built on React, Redux, Vue.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript for the frontend. Backend services use Python with FastAPI, alongside data warehouses and SQLite pipelines. Infrastructure includes Apache Airflow for workflows, Kubernetes for orchestration, and Apache Iceberg with StarRocks for the data lakehouse. AI capabilities leverage NVIDIA GPUs and vLLM, while Go handles high-performance components. The TRM APIs support integration with customer systems, and teams script in Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript for prototypes and PoCs.
