Project Manager - Hydra

IO Global is searching for a Project Manager to join its Hydra team. Hydra is Cardano’s layer-2 protocol solution, designed to make our network faster and cheaper. We invented this leading-edge blockchain technology to improve our network. As the person managing the delivery of this project, you will have strong project management skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.

This is a varied role requiring C-level status reporting and a significant amount of hands-on report collation and the chasing down of issues and actions across all levels of the organisation.

Your mission

• Leading the planning and implementation of projects
• Facilitating the definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables
• Defining tasks and resource requirements
• Developing full-scale project plans
• Assembling and coordinating staff
• Managing the budget
• Helping the lead software development manager to manage the allocation of resources, and to plan and schedule timelines
• Tracking deliverables using the appropriate tools
• Defining, implementing, and tracking quality assurance across the project with the test and quality coordinator
• Working closely with project stakeholders and coordinating cross-functional activity to ensure that projects are of the defined scope and delivered on time
• Monitoring and reporting on progress to all stakeholders
• Collating and presenting reports on progress, problems, and solutions
• C-level status reporting
• Chasing down issues and actions across all levels of the organisation
• Scheduling and chairing weekly operational and stakeholder meetings, and making sure minutes are kept
• Managing the Raid log of risks, actions, issues, and decisions, and updating it with all project actions
• Coordinating with individuals and teams on the status of all items.

Your expertise

• Qualification in project management or equivalent (CAPM or PMP preferred)
• Experience (or willingness to be trained) in Jira and scrum
• Knowledge of the theoretical and practical aspects of project management
• Familiarity with project management techniques, tools, and software
• Experience in people management, strategic planning, and risk and change management
• Strong record of delivering software projects
• Knowledge and understanding of the systems development life cycle
• Experience in project management and blockchain development experience would be desirable.

Location

IOG is a fully distributed organization and therefore this is a remote position. Due to team distribution we are ideally searching for someone in a European timezone.
