Overnight Trader, FICC

As an Overnight Trader on our FICC team, you’ll have an opportunity to combine the disciplines of risk management, research and technology to develop and execute innovative trading strategies in some of the world’s most competitive markets. Teams are close-knit groups and will allow new traders to grow into a key role within the team without a prolonged training period by trading overnight. *Please note - this role is based in the Singapore office, and covers the US trading hours of 11pm to 8am.

Responsibilities:

• Provide liquidity in FICC options across multiple products, which may include but not limited to rates, precious metals, FX currencies, crude oil, and cryptoassets, via exchange platforms and voice brokered markets
• Develop and maintain relationships with prominent market participants
• Identify and capture current opportunities; research and introduce new trading strategies
• Research, identify, and execute trading strategies which fit within the risk parameters of the desk
• Monitor and manage risk of positions and strategies across multiple desks/products simultaneously
• Recognize and capitalize market participant patterns
• Create models based on analysis and modify based on market dynamics; take risks accordingly
• Communicate daily with the rest of the FICC team regarding new opportunities and strategies
• Assist in the growth and development of junior traders

Required Experience and Skills:

• 3+ years of profitable trading experience in a proprietary trading or providing liquidity environment
• Experience trading options products is required, experience trading FICC options is a plus
• Strong risk management skills and an in-depth understanding of the functioning of FICC markets
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Physics or any related Engineering, Mathematics or Science discipline
• Must be proficient in Excel/VBA. Proficiency in Python is a plus, familiarity with programming will be expected
• A sound grasp of probability and statistics, as well as risk/reward and expected values
• Advanced quantitative, analytical and problem solving skills and the ability to deploy those skills during time-sensitive situations
• Proven ability to investigate issues within own area of work and produce results
• An ability to communicate effectively, concisely, and precisely when conveying information about the trades you have executed, and the present market conditions
