Cardano DCF Senior Designer

Cardano is an open source blockchain project committed to a roadmap towards decentralized governance. As part of this journey, IO Global is looking for a Content Editor to help drive forward our Decentralized Consortium Funding program, an exciting new model to expand the developer base for Cardano’s protocol and ecosystem development.

In 2021, Cardano has achieved incredible success, but we are still early in this space and have a long way to go. A big component of the continued evolution of Cardano is IOG’s efforts to fully open source and decentralize the core development of the platform and protocol. To do this, we will need to build a broad coalition and a consortium of highly qualified and reputable firms that can meaningfully contribute to this effort. As a Designer at IOG, you are responsible for creating, maintaining, and assessing the beautiful brand assets that communicate the vision, scope, and importance of the Cardano DCF in a visually aesthetic way. As part of the Cardano DCF marketing and communications team, you are also expected to contribute to Google slide presentations, printed collateral, and UI/UX for DCF product prototypes and websites.

Your mission

• Create a unique brand architecture and consistent brand language that embodies the ideals of DCF around decentralized development of the Cardano Blockchain Platform & Protocol
• Work with Cardano DCF Director, DCF communications manager, and other IOG stakeholders to discover communication objectives and translate them into a design philosophy
• Be the end-to-end implementer for all visual needs (eg. slides, graphics, illustrations, ads, banners, landing pages, presentations, brochures, ebooks, guides, and training materials)
• Act as a strategist as much as an implementer, bring creative ideas to the table, and uplevel the look & feel of all Cardano DCF material and marketing
• Be willing to support other IOG MarComms campaigns and branding initiatives
• Ideate and present slide, web, and print collateral solutions in a team setting
• Create presentation and document guides and templates for internal and external use
• Update and maintain external thedcf.io website.

Your expertise

• Minimum of five years of experience in Graphic and Web Design, preferably with a technology company (crypto, blockchain, gaming, interactive media preferred)
• Advanced understanding of brand architectures and brand language
• Design Project Delivery Experience
• Ability to work independently and under pressure created by deadlines
• Attention to detail
• Critical thinking skills.

Location

IOG is a fully distributed organization and therefore this is a remote position. Due to team distribution we are ideally searching for someone in a Central European or Pacific Standard time zone.
