As a Community Manager at Acala, you will have the opportunity to shape the community and public perceptions of Acala.
We are looking for a DeFi power user that “lives” in online communities and enjoys interacting with others. You need to be a strong communicator that understands Acala’s mission, values and product suite.

You should be curious, have strong investigative skills to solve user issues and the ability to appropriately escalate any problems to internal stakeholders (technical or community-related). Furthermore, you should have high levels of empathy and be able to communicate user pain points to our Product team. Lastly, as a public-facing member of Acala, you need to maintain the highest levels of professionalism even when being criticized by members of the community.

You should have a passion for decentralization, Web 3.0, rebuilding the world’s financial infrastructure, and you should be fun and easy to work with. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to continue growing in responsibility over time.


What you'll do:

  • Community Management: Moderate and answer user questions in Discord, Telegram, Reddit, Twitter, Email and YouTube; Communicate important updates to our Ambassadors; Escalate user and community feedback to internal team

  • User Advocacy: Test products prior to release to identify user issues; Review announcements that impact users

  • Education: Create user guides, FAQs, Wikis, and other educational content for Acala’s and Karura’s products and events

  • Operations: Assist tasks related to the day-to-day operation Acala on an ad-hoc basis

    • What it takes:
  • Minimum 2-3 years CM experience moderating an online community via the channels above
  • Intimate knowledge of Discord in particular; You'll be using it’s tools and capabilities daily
  • Advanced DeFi user experience, and involvement in the crypto community
  • Video production and editing skills, and experience creating video tutorials [send us links!]
  • Flexibility to work with our global team across multiple timezones
  • Advanced communication skills; Verbal, written, listening, presentations, texting, tweeting, etc

  • BONUS: Familiarity with the Polkadot & Kusama ecosystems
