We are looking for a Compliance Manager to help build and implement programs that oversee and implement our compliance policies and procedures. The right candidate will help oversee our KYC program including customer identification/verification, customer due diligence and enhanced due diligence, and the rules and regulations of AML/CFT/OFAC to ensure the company’s operations is in compliance. Experience in Banking/FinTech is a must and experience in blockchain/crypto is a plus.


Responsibilities

  • Build and lead risk management programs of AML, BSA, Sanctions and Fraud, etc.
  • Structure the compliance policy framework and procedures
  • Drive KYC strategy; manage KYC operations
  • Design customer onboarding process which meets regulatory requirements
  • Work across teams to enhance reporting and key performance indicators for KYC operations
  • Coordinate and plan the AML, BSA and OFAC training plan and initiatives
  • Oversee the review and work with the data team to analyze unusual customer account activity
  • Ensure the company is in line with OFAC and all other applicable sanctions laws and regulations
  • Conduct compliance investigations and documentation and the annual OFAC risk assessment exercises; incorporate findings to business operations
  • Keep track of industry and compliance trends and changes to Federal and State laws and regulations related to the existing and future business operations of the company
  • Help with the compliance training in the company

    • Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in audit, compliance and risk management in the fields of Banking/FinTech or blockchain/crypto
  • Experienced with KYC global processes for customer onboarding and ongoing due diligence, both for individuals and entities
  • Sound knowledge of global regulatory and compliance laws and KYC requirements (e.g, United States, Europe, etc.)
  • Excellent knowledge of BSA/AML/OFAC regulations
  • Data driven mindset; proven track record in handling sensitive information and exercising excellent judgment
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong attention to detail, follow-up and organization skills
  • Passionate about blockchain/crypto
  • Experience in start-ups is a plus
