Immutable is an Australian-based company and market leader in blockchain gaming. Through the Immutable X platform, we are bringing transparency to the opaque world of in-game economies and providing gamers with true digital property rights. We are responsible for launching one of the most successful blockchain Trading Card Games, Gods Unchained.

Gods Unchained is a leader in the cryptocurrency gaming space, and we aim to cement our position as “crypto gaming done right”. This role will be responsible for all the Unity parts of the game and will also be managing an experienced team of Unity developers to make GU a fun, best-in-class game.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Manage and mentor a team of Unity developers charged with making improvements to the game.
  • Report on a weekly basis to the GU exec team
  • Help the squads manage their sprints and set achievable levels of work for the team members
  • Set standards for the team to follow to improve stability, reduce bugs, improve framerates and increase player enjoyment.
  • Work with other parts of the business interfacing with the Front End and Back End teams to ensure alignment with what we are doing.
  • Communicate with our Test Automation teams and QA departments, and broadcast information to our Marketing team and other parts of the business
  • Help set OKRs that define success and help us understand where we can improve
  • Work with technical experts to identify areas of improvement and drive education initiatives across the team.
  • Identify gaps in our processes and implement solutions that improve the team's satisfaction and productivity.
  • Contribute to the technical vision and strategy, overseeing and measuring our progress towards it.

    • We would love you to have:
  • Strong background of technical leadership in games using Unity – 4yrs+
  • Experience as an individual contributor software engineer – 4yrs+
  • People management experience – 2yrs+
  • Shipped at least one Live Services game using Unity
  • Experience with Agile methodologies
  • Substantial startup/scaleup experience
  • Unity, Angular, and Design Systems

    • Some extra skills that would be awesome:
  • Experience working in a distributed systems (microservices) architecture
  • Blockchain experience
  • AWS (preferred)
  • Blockchain / Solidity
