About the team

We are looking for a Senior DevOps engineer to join our Gnosis Protocol (aka CowSwap) team. You’ll be joining a distributed team with offices in Berlin & Lisbon and some people fully remote. You will support our development team in reliably running their software (infrastructure configuration, release process, improving our automated alerting and monitoring stack as well as incidence management).

What you'll do

• Work to continuously provision and improve high-available, scalable and self-healing IT systems
• Support & mentor rest of the team in becoming better at “running their own software”
• Make necessary adjustments to the product code to improve reliability/alerting
• Automate installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of software deployments
• Monitor system activity, application performance and troubleshoot problem areas as needed
• Ensure compliance with industry wide and company wide security standards
• Design, automate and test procedures for incident management and disaster recovery

Who you are

• You have 4+ years of experience in various DevOps/SRE/SysOps roles
• You have 3+ years of Linux administrator experience
• You have 2+ year experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes/Swarm
• You have great experience with monitoring/alerting tools like Grafana or ElasticSearch
• You have experience with infrastructure as a code tools like Terraform or Ansible
• Scripting ability (Bash / Shell, Python)
• Soft Skills: You are a very reliable person. You show a high level of commitment and take ownership of your tasks. You are able to deal with ambiguity, work under loose supervision and are a good communicator.

It’s a plus if you bring:

• Understanding of the Ethereum blockchain/ecosystem
• Rust knowledge
• Statistics knowledge (in the context of anomaly detection)
