The Opportunity
The Community Manager is the core of Alchemy’s efforts to engage with and invest in the passionate community of developers and creators that use our products. You’ll help drive the growth of our community, developing strategies to drive engagement across social (especially Twitter and discord), virtual gatherings like online tutorials and, and in-person events and dinners. You’ll work hand-in-hand with marketing, communications, developer relations, events, product, and sales teams to make certain business objectives are being met and, critically, that our internal teams understand, hear, and respond to the voice of our community.

The role requires a passion for our mission — helping creative people bring their ideas to life on Web3 — and a willingness to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty. Your ability to authentically communicate as the voice of Alchemy is critical to the success of this role. Startup experience is preferred, knowledge of Web3 and blockchain is a plus.

Responsibilities
  • Set the tone for engagement with the community across multiple channels
  • Engage daily with our community members on Twitter and discord to foster community sentiment and growth
  • Support marketing campaigns, giveaways, and other community events
  • Develop comprehensive strategies that foster engagement across digital and in-person touch points
  • Align community engagement efforts to long-term business goals
  • Collect user feedback from the community and share it with internal functional partners
  • Act as a source of knowledge, support, and escalation for discord community managers
  • Contribute to the learning and success of your team, and the company, by sharing knowledge through mentorship, collaboration, and aiding in documentation

Requirements
  • 2+ years in leadership roles organizing communities
  • Impeccable writing skills
  • Ability to context switch and manage multiple conversations
  • Demonstrable experience using Twitter and discord to foster community
  • Experience developing in-person community events, including dinners and larger gatherings
  • Creative thinking for deepening community interest
  • Excellent people skills
  • Interest in technology, blockchain, crypto
  • Experience with blockchain a large plus
