The Opportunity

The Ledgers team builds integrations with other DLT solutions (e.g. VMware Blockchain, R3 Corda). We also run our own testing and performance environment to validate that the components meet our customers’ high demands.

As the Team Lead, you'll give technical leadership in all aspects of this team. You'll lead and mentor a team of currently four engineers working in a remote-first environment spanning across Europe. You'll define and evolve the roadmap in collaboration with the Product team, setting priorities and giving overall direction to all the components under the team's responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of four engineers distributed across several countries, bootstrapping integrations between Daml and other enterprise DLT solutions.
  • Coordinate and lead the design and development of new and existing components.
  • Collaborate with colleagues from Product Management to drive and focus the roadmap for the team.
  • Devote some time to hands-on work with the team on the development of new and existing tools and services, mostly written in Scala.

Key Criteria

  • You are eager to drive design decisions and technology choices in a collaborative way.
  • You have experience in leading and mentoring a team of engineers and enjoy being at the intersection of technology
  • You find designing software systems exciting and have a strong interest in DLT solutions.
  • You are familiar with both object-oriented and functional programming concepts.

Extra Credit

  • You have played around with or used Daml.
  • You are an experienced Scala developer or have experience with functional programming.
  • You have experience in leading a distributed team.
  • You have experience working with DLT solutions such as Ethereum, Corda, Tezos, or others.
