Technical Sales Engineer Daml

The Opportunity

The Technical Sales Engineers (TSE) will work closely with the regional Sales Associates and Directors to help clients identify and develop business cases across industry sectors in EMEA. The TSEs play a critical part in demonstrating and educating clients in the depth of the company’s core products and services and how they can be applied to create new value or business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with sales team to identify client’s business problems, understand how their processes and systems work today, and then demonstrate how our technology & products can be leveraged to minimize pain points
• Assist clients in understanding our tech infrastructure and tooling, and help plan interfaces and integrations to the existing technologies within their infrastructure platforms
• Rapidly develop full stack prototypes of identified business cases that provide the critical tangible proof to clients of the unique value that can be created
• Deliver our value prop and USP to a variety of audiences, developers, architects to C-Level executives
• Play vital role in sales process from discovery to deal closure by owning all technical aspects
• Collect, collate & summarize client feedback to product team
• Participate in establishing industry presence, at relevant forums, meetups, associations and conferences

Key Criteria

• Strong hands-on, software engineering on large-scale projects; proficient in one or more functional programming languages e.g. Scala, Haskell, F#, ideally in a production environment.
• Demonstrated experience in a highly technical role.
• Demonstrated experience successfully collaborating with others in a dynamic, fast-paced, pressured environment.
• Capable of transforming imprecise specifications into pragmatic code solutions by working with diverse stakeholders.
• A careful blend of creativity and pragmatism, as Digital Asset is part of a community bootstrapping a technology and demand for the technology while simultaneously on tight delivery timelines.
• Exceptional communication skills, comfortable presenting complex concepts in front of large client audiences, both technical and non-technical; Ability to effectively summarize and present findings to senior level executives within Digital Asset and at clients.
• Excellent computer science fundamentals; command of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns with ability to fluently translate them into working, elegant code.
• Skilled in leading and working within an Agile environment, including participation in daily scrum meetings, backlog management, sprint definition, and retrospectives, preferably within a global team.
• BSc, MSc, or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics or a related field.
