About the Front-end Engineer role

We are looking for an experienced front-end engineer to join as a member of the core engineering team. As a front-end engineer, you will have an extensive impact over the product, the UI/UX, and the technology.

Our platform is a single-page web application used to contextualize crypto information. It is built using React, TypeScript, Material UI, and GraphQL.

As a member of the team, you will be responsible for
  • building dynamic user interfaces to analyze the depth of information in crypto, from user education to smart contract integrations
  • adding to our data-rich UI while maintaining a simple to understand and intuitive user experience that is consistent with the rest of the web app - for e.g. on-chain data is really hard to grasp, can we find a way to visualize it in a way such that novices can make sense of it?
  • implementing new visualization workflows - our product is constantly growing, so how do we build exciting new workflows while keeping products cohesive?
  • maintaining a high bar for code quality, reusability, and readability
  • collaborating with product, research, and design to create a useful and delightful user experience
  • identifying opportunities to enhance the front end web stack as we continue to work towards optimizing our developer experience

    • About You
  • 3+ years experience with modern front-end technologies including React and TypeScript
  • a passion for shipping high-quality product that delights users
  • interest in building data analytical tools, and a desire to empower users to do more
  • looking to work on big/interesting things with lots of creative freedom
  • have experience with building products and/or have the curiosity to think through the holistic product picture
  • interest in the crypto space, and a love for building tools that help users dive deep into this world
  • empathetic and love to help your teammates grow

    • Nice-to-haves
  • worked with other elements of our tech stack: GraphQL, Postgres, Golang, Node
  • specific experience with Web3 and/or data visualization tools

    • Projects you could work on
  • Sever-side-rendering!– Revamp the entire site to be server-side-rendered to drastically improve on page load speeds and SEO
  • Charts!– Build a visualization experience enabling users to build, compare, and visualize charts across hundreds of real-time metrics
  • Web3!– Integrate with a specific smart contract and create a UI which facilitates the on-chain interaction
  • GraphQL!– Improve performance of the webpage by modularizing components and building tailor specific GraphQL queries for each module with the goal of decreasing bandwidth payload and increase shareability

  • Associate $125,000 - $150,000
  • Mid $150,000 - $175,000
  • Senior $175,000 - $200,000 +
