About the role
In Xfers, you'll likely get experience on many different projects across the organization. You will be exposed to the latest developments in the payments industry and have the chance to learn about new and emerging trends in financial technology, how a startup works and how to make product decisions that are aligned with the business goals.

The learning outcomes from this internship are as follows:
- Working knowledge of Ruby on Rails and similar web application frameworks
- Working knowledge of ReactJS and similar frontend frameworks
- Working knowledge of Ethereum, Zilliqa and similar blockchains
- Able to tie the above pieces of knowledge together to maintain, develop and extend blockchain products in the blockchain industry


What you’ll be doing

  • You will be working with other engineers to improve our stablecoin project. Our stablecoin project, codenamed StraitsX is the first compliant stablecoin for the masses. It has also, within 1 month of launch, achieved a circulation value of a few million.
  • In this internship, you will be part of the team's early efforts in bringing the stablecoins global and increase their usage by orders of magnitude.
  • Your responsibilities include: Developing and maintain our Decentralised Applications (Dapps), developing and maintain blockchain service integrations, keeping pace with the developments of cryptocurrencies and digital assets
    • What we are looking for in you
  • Basic proficiency with any programming languages/framework. e.g.: Ruby on Rails will be a plus point
  • Basic understanding of complex algorithms and data structures, as well as a passion for intellectual challenges
  • Basic experience with any flavour of SQL
  • Any understanding of blockchains / Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) will be an extreme plus point
