About the Role

The ideal candidate will have direct experience working with high-growth startups in the Fintech space. This candidate would record financial transactions between Crypto and Fiat. Bookkeeping includes duties such as uploading transactional data, querying for referral and commissions reports, creating journal entries, and completing reconciliations as well as closing the month's books to get ready for review from the CFO.

What You Get To Do Every Day

• Create or examine the accuracy of financial statements
• Ensure all financial records and statements are in line with regulations, and generally accepted accounting principles​ (GAAP)
• Work with different departments and advise on company resources and procedures
• Analyze all company assets, income, anticipated expenses, and liabilities and provide a detailed analysis​ and make recommendations​
• Document business financial transactions, prepare entries for company accounts and maintain general ledger​
• Record, analyze & reconcile journal entries (expense/income)

Responsibilities + Requirements:

• You have at least 5 years of experience in accounting or a similar role
• You have experience and comfortable working on a fast-paced company with changing priorities​
• You are reliable, extremely detail-oriented, and a problem-solver
• You have strong communication skills in English
• You are comfortable working independently as part of a remote team
• You are tech-savvy and excited about new technologies and practices
• You are comfortable with ambiguity, able to take charge and get things done despite the unknowns
• Strong MS Excel skills (Vlookup, Pivot Tables, Macros, Charts, Conditional Formatting, Merging data from multiple sources)
• High attention to accuracy
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional areas
• Basic prior knowledge or some familiarity with Ethereum.
• Experience with Quickbooks
• Experience within a growing software/technology start-up

Nice to Haves:

• Experience professionally or casually learning about, working in, contributing to cryptocurrency/blockchain/bitcoin / Ethereum related projects.
• Experience in any sector of cybersecurity/information security/infosec
• CPA
• Experience successfully working with distributed teams across time zones will be a big plus.
