We are looking for a remote Canadian-based Senior Software Engineer with deep NodeJS experience to join our core backend team. You'll have the opportunity to build new microservices and help scale our Bitcoin Teller Machine (BTM) cloud-based backend infrastructure. You are highly collaborative and have a passion for mentoring junior/intermediate developers.

• 5+ years engineering experience
• 3+ years experience working with NodeJS
• Experience using statically typed and object-oriented languages (ie TypeScript)
• Experience with NestJS and an ORM/ODM (eg: Mongoose, TypeORM, MikroORM)
• Experience building REST or GraphQL APIs
• Experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases
• Comfortable working in a Linux or Unix (macOS) environment
• Experience writing reliable unit and functional tests

##Good to have

• Knowledge of AWS or GCP cloud platforms
• Understanding of distributed systems and building applications at scale
• Experience with websockets and event driven messaging systems
• Experience managing junior/intermediate developers
