Marketing & Communications Manager - Sidechains

IO Global, the blockchain engineering company that created Cardano, is looking for a Marketing & Communications Manager to join their Marketing Team. In the role, you will act as the account lead for all marketing and communications activity for Sidechains – from strategy and planning, to campaign execution, to guardianship both internally and externally.

This role requires well-developed comms and marketing sensibilities, a strong strategic and objective-driven mindset, and a genuine excitement for devising and executing tactical plans that bring blockchain technologies to a wider audience. Your mission

• Be the account lead for all marketing and comms activity around your product/service
• Work with the Chief Marketing Officer and Ecosystem Director to position supporting activity within the strategic context
• Own the high-level marketing and communications plan for your product or service
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align around strategic marketing and communications objectives
• Prepare, secure buy-in, and execute tactical marketing and communications plans
• Create or commission supporting assets (core messaging, campaigns, social media, etc) to support go-to-market plans and other comms
• Drive and promote competitive differentiation for the platform among target audiences
• Support initiatives to promote the IO Global brand.

Your expertise

• Minimum of five years’ experience in communications and/or social media roles
• Solid experience in at least one complementary area of marketing (eg, product, campaign, growth.)
• Solid knowledge and understanding of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn) and how each platform can be used to deliver commercial goals and develop organizational capability
• Understanding and experience of issue and crisis management
• Experienced and confident in data-driven approaches, recognising how a creative idea translates into business value
• Excellent writing and language skills (native English)
• Good technical understanding (experience in blockchain and crypto technologies preferred).

Location

IOG is a fully distributed organization and therefore this is a remote position. Due to team distribution we are ideally searching for someone in a European/East Coast US time zone.
