Technical Writer (Contract - 6 months)

If there was a Pulitzer for technical documentation, our Technical Writing team would sweep the field every time for our informative and compelling knowledge base! Our job is to create page-turning content related to our product features, integrations, and conceptual topics for both external and internal customers.

The Technical Writer builds close relationships with our Product, Customer Success, Marketing, Training, and Engineering teams to stay on top of upcoming products and features, common customer requests, and ensure that information is accessible to every customer level, including developers and non-technical users. They also manage the Content Management System that houses our knowledge base and ensures our content is up to date. We measure our success by the timely, relevant, and thorough documentation for our products and services.

In one year you’ll know you were successful if…

• You’re confident managing the knowledge base for one of our core products and proactively address common customer questions and needs
• You have strong cross functional relationships (Product, Customer Success, Training & Engineering) resulting in our knowledge base content being the first-line of defense for our teams and customers
• You have written engaging articles, providing meaningful content to both internal and external customers ensuring that the knowledge base and other documents are the default resource for all product-related information and questions
• You have a thorough understanding of Chainalysis products (KYT, Reactor, & Kryptos) and can explain those concepts to readers of varying experience levels so they can fully realize the value of our product suite

A background like this helps:

• Expert writing skills with proven experience devising engaging content for both technical and non-technical audiences
• Ability to work in an autonomous environment, background working at a SaaS startup is a plus!
• Knowledge of Github /Git processes like branching and merging, pull requests, and working from the command line
• Experience working with Content Management Systems
• Understanding of: HTTP/RESTful web services and how to make calls, access resources, etc.
• Capable of reading simple lines of code and validating basic documentation
• Bonus points if you have Javascript/Front end experience
