FT Cybersecurity Writer

Halborn, an elite blockchain cybersecurity firm, is looking for a highly motivated writer for their blog. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience as a cybersecurity writer, strong knowledge of security (ideally, in blockchain security), and technical background. This is a 100% remote position.

Requirements:

• Native command of English (this is a MUST)
• 2+ years of previous cybersecurity writing experience
• Degree(s) or certificate(s) in cybersecurity
• Extensive knowledge of crypto and the broader blockchain tech ecosystem
• Excellent written communication skills with strong time management and attention to detail, as well as analytic and organizational skills
• Preference for candidates based in Europe (CET time zone)

Overview of position:

• Generate ideas for informative and thought leadership style articles for CISOs and security professionals on infosec, penetration testing, ethical hacking, smart contract audits, Web3, and blockchain security
• Determine the clearest and most logical way to present difficult-to-grasp cybersecurity information for the greatest reader comprehension
• Be able to write engaging, well-researched content of varying styles and lengths for two audiences: CISOs (technical) and broader, less knowledgeable audience
• Write 3-4 articles per week (800-2,500 words)
• Stay on top of the news of important hacks in the crypto space and quickly write content explaining the origins of the hacks
• Transcribe our Youtube videos to engaging blogposts
• Write short, informative posts on any major news story in the crypto security space
• Write more informal, how-to guides and listicles that would appeal to a broader audience interested in personal cybersecurity tips
• Research crypto security trends and provide reactive commentary
• Assist, when needed, in writing Twitter threads about blog posts
