About the role

Are you a skillful filmmaker that can use pacing, music, energy and design to move the needle and boost campaigns and initiatives? Are you self motivated with great attention to detail? Can you work with a team but thrive with the freedom to go out on your own and try your own ideas? We are looking for a creative filmmaker with emphasis on post production (editing, motion graphics, music and sound editing) to help with the mission to onboard the next one billion users to Solana. This position is a contract position with 20+ hours per week to start and possibly becoming a full time contractor role in the future.

Responsibilities:

• Brainstorm with the marketing team to produce videos, clips, gifs, memes for Solana Labs projects, campaigns and initiatives.
• Editing and/or post supervise hype videos, podcasts, teasers, sizzles, presentations and interviews and more.
• Collaborate with other artists and creatives to achieve the best possible content that will create impact and move the needle.
• Research and secure the rights to stock footage, cool imagery, graphics and music to include in video and audio content.
• Explore different directions and approaches to present to the team and receive feedback gracefully when incorporating notes.

Requirements

• 1-3+ years of experience in Video Editing, Motion GFX
• Excellent proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects (Photoshop, Illustrator, Maya, Blender a big bonus but not required)
• Knowledge of the filmmaking process (concept, production, editing and audio mixing) and experience producing polished videos from start to finish.
• Great attention to detail is a must, the kind of person who checks something twice before uploading it.
• Experience in creative problem solving, brainstorming and working with a team.
• General awareness of the crypto market and culture not required but highly appreciated.
• Ideally knows Crypto Twitter extremely well (memes, phrases, recent narratives and news).
• Has a real interest or willingness to learn about the crypto/blockchain/web3 space
