The role in a nutshell
Luno’s TA team makes sure that Luno attracts and hires the best talent in the market. Our global team consists of passionate individuals immersed in external talent pools bringing the Luno story and mission to diverse and innovative talent pools to realise our vision.
We are looking for someone to join our global team and lead hiring activity for our technical teams (Engineering, Product & Data Science). You will help scale up the business, by proactively building talent pipelines, managing employer brand campaigns and initiatives, lead or support people team projects
- You will report to Daisy who oversees the Global Talent Acquisition function for Luno. This role will support global technical recruitment which includes Countries, Marketing, PR, Emerging Markets. The Talent Acquisition Team is a global team with people based in South Africa, South East Asia and London offices and forms part of the People team function within Luno.
Your mission will involve
- leading shaping and leading our hiring practices, ensuring scalability as we continue to accelerate our hiring across engineering, product and data science
- Managing your own workload and range of vacancies across multiple geographic locations, whilst leading a Team to also deliver
- Partnering with Build function stakeholders, advising and providing expert advice on all areas of TA to support hiring needs and strategy
- You will use data insights to shape current and future hiring goals as well as track against wider recruitment delivery objectives
- Be a Luno ambassador and building our employer brand as a “best place to work” for top talent in new markets
- Proactively manage candidate experience via our ATS ensuring the highest data integrity
- Lead and engage in recruitment branding outreach events representing Lunos employer Global Employer brand.
- Assisting with the implementation of specific products and team re-organisation, to align with a wider transformation project and change initiative.
- As a Talent Acquisition lead you will coach and mentor more junior members as the team grows
- Proactively sourcing and attracting candidates by using a variety of creative methods (not just LinkedIn or our careers page)
- You will use data insights to shape current and future hiring goals as well as track against wider recruitment delivery objectives
In your first six months, you will
- Have built strong relationships with key stakeholders understanding challenges and potential and outlying solutions to bottlenecks
- Help ramp up the hiring as per the headcount strategy as well as provide project support or own your own projects
- Have integrated yourself into the global team
- Understand Luno's hiring processes, policies and practices and where you fit in the matrix
- Learnt Luno's ATS for candidate management and reporting
‘ The ideal Lunaut for this role will have’
- A minimum of 2 years of demonstrable experience leading technical recruitment across multiple geographic locations ( preferably including the U.S)
- Essential, excellent Boolean, LinkedIn and alternative search techniques
- Proven ability driving performance in a high growth tech environment
- Expert knowledge of recruitment and sourcing tools and techniques.
- Proven ability in developing and leading large-scale recruiting strategies and campaigns with multiple media channels and sizeable stakeholder groups
- Collaborative team player across the Recruitment Leadership Team – driving inclusion, seeking continuous improvement through and leading by example in all aspects of your role
- Previous experience developing and executing recruiting function development strategies including and branding, process improvement and best practice
- Demonstrable experience consulting and managing senior stakeholders hiring managers to understand their hiring needs and proactively looking for opportunities to find talent for their respective positions.
