Product Manager (Voltaire)

IO Global, creator of the Cardano blockchain platform, is searching for a Technical Product Manager to join the Voltaire project team. Voltaire is the pinnacle of community-organized governance for a decentralized product. You will be joining an exciting and cutting-edge team of thinkers and experimenters to help put Cardano into the hands of the community.

Your mission

As Product Manager, you will lead and manage the development, implementation and release of Voltaire. You will report to the Product Director with regular milestone updates and work to create and execute the strategy for Voltaire. You will work autonomously and be expected to lead the requirements and direction for Voltaire.

Duties will include:

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to build the vision and roadmap for Voltaire.
• Establishing and maintaining the roadmap based on market research and collaboration with internal and external groups and stakeholders
• Working with customers and partners to ensure that their needs are addressed in the roadmap and that they are kept apprised of releases and updates
• Working with prospects to define new products and quantify opportunity size
• Collaborating with marketing and communications teams to explain how changes will affect the user community and support development of communications to the wider market
• Working with business development teams to evaluate proposals for the roadmap, and with project managers on delivery, planning and scheduling
• Working with product managers on roadmap integration points
• Providing technical guidance in evaluating applications systems and proposals
• Developing product strategies to introduce differentiated product offerings to complex markets
• Working with program managers, developers, and quality control teams to deliver releases on schedule.

Your expertise

• Degree or master’s in computer science (or equivalent)
• Product management certification is a plus (CPM, AIPMM)
• Experience as a product manager or associate product manager
• A background in distributed computing and experience with blockchain technologies.
• At least one year’s business experience of blockchain or cryptocurrency technology
• Experience of working with agile software development processes and with leading highly technical engineering teams
• Experience of implementing processes to measure the success of products
• Experience working with marketing teams, design and business teams, preferably in fintech
• Proven ability in developing productive relationships at all levels, and in managing user expectations.

Location

IOG is a fully distributed organization and therefore this is a remote position. Due to team distribution we are ideally searching for someone in a European timezone.
