Protofire is a dedicated sub-unit of Altoros, specializing in consultancy and development services around Blockchain technology.

As great enthusiasts and active contributors to the open-source blockchain communities, we help builders and providers of decentralized infrastructure, protocols, and applications, bootstrap the demand and supply sides of their markets and accelerate mass adoption.

We help startups with protocol & smart contract engineering, high-performance trusted data feeds (oracles), and awesome developer tools (SDKs/APIs).

Since we started in 2016 we’ve had a chance to contribute to the development of many top projects in the blockchain ecosystem, including Maker, Chainlink, Tezos, Gnosis, Kyber Network, The Graph, Filecoin, Synthetix, Avalanche, and more. Apart from that, we are running one of the biggest indexer nodes in the Graph Network, participating as bridge relayers and validators helping projects and networks to further decentralize their infrastructure.

We are now looking to hire a cross-disciplinary team to help Protofire scale. As such, we’re looking for a Senior Javascript Developer who has made their way in web3 and wants to learn and dive deeper in blockchain projects and products.

How you will make an impact

• Develop responsive Web 3.0 applications
• Connect the frontend to Ethereum-based smart contracts
• Integrate with various APIs to enhance the Dapp’s functionality

• Review code written by other team members.

• Design and implement open source tools, like Solhint and eth-cli, to contribute and support the Ethereum community.
• Provide value to our client’s business by building new cool features.
• Provide strategic technical solutions delivery, matching business requirements and project deliverables
• Ensure that security, performance, maintainability, scalability, usability, and reliability are being considered when architecting solutions
• Provide structure to development activities following SCRUM Methodology.
• Keep up to date with the latest protocol developments in DeFi
• Attend hackathons, conferences and deliver talks related to our technologies and help the HR team to attract new talent by telling your own experience about working in Altoros/Protofire.

What you need to succeed

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
• Mastery on the following stacks:
  • 3+ years of recent development experience with Javascript/React/NodeJS
  • Typescript
  • Postgress, MongoDB, SQL, nonSQL
  • Experience with Ethers.js and GraphQL.

• 3+ years of experience working with Blockchains (running & maintaining nodes of EVM compatible Blockchains, experience with web3 APIs, understanding of architectural concepts, etc)
• Solid understanding of WEB3.JS, ETHERS.JS, paired with React/Redux.
• Familiarity with decentralized systems and parallel computing.
• Minimum understanding of Crypto Industry and other Blockchain Projects (DApps, DeFi Protocols, etc).
• Problem-solving attitude, ability to act autonomously, participate in discussions, and actively propose solutions.
• Excellent communication skills - You know how to work in teams, give and receive feedback, identify bottlenecks.
• Experience of Solidity is a big plus

• A desire to keep up with blockchain technology trends and a real interest in decentralization

*This is a remote opportunity. Most of our teams are located in Argentina and Minsk, so being able to overlap as many hours as possible with these locations is required**
