About the Role

Figure is looking for a Deputy Chief Information Security Officer to help build and drive the strategy and implementation of a security management program to protect Figure business interests and information. In this critical role, you will help lead security from all angles, taking a 360-degree view of our cyber security practices and product roadmap to secure our business, clients and stakeholders, and ensure that we are compliant with all best practices and applicable regulations and policies for our business and industry.

What You'll Do

• Create and implement a strategy for the deployment of information security technologies
• Perform IT security risk assessments, monitor security vulnerabilities and hacking threats, conduct audits and tests, and other necessary actions to assure our organization’s preparedness to today’s and tomorrow’s threats
• Communicate security threats and predictions to the executive team and key stakeholders, and communicate the strategy to prevent security risks
• Track the latest IT security innovations and keep abreast of latest cyber security technologies in general and specifically for the financial sector
• Ensure business continuity
• Implement an effective process for the reporting of security incidents
• Oversee the investigation of reported security breaches
• Develop strategies to handle security incidents and trigger investigations
• Build and lead the IT security team, security experts and advisors
• Comply with all the relevant regulations and compliance requirements
• Champion and educate the organization about security

What We Look For

• 10+ years of proven IT security experience with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or related technology field. Master’s Degree with relevant certifications (CISSP, SSCP, etc.) is preferred
• Proven history of developing and managing cyber security policies and procedures for Financial Services, SaaS, Cloud and/or Technology companies
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills, with experience in managing teams
• Business process experience, and ability to link information security issues to broader business goals
• Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams while thriving in a fast-paced growing company. A proven record of dealing with complex projects and meeting conflicting demands.
