We're looking for an engineering leader to join the Protocol team building the Flow blockchain. In this role you’ll evolve the systems and architecture for Flow, improve performance, scalability and throughput characteristics of the system, doing so with open-source community needs in mind and a security minded perspective throughout your work.

You will deliver high quality, deeply tested solutions with the needed functional, performance and security characteristics. Working in close collaboration with Product you will steer roadmap objectives to impactful outcomes in a timely manner. You will empower, strengthen, coach and develop the team and achieve your goals working through them and with partner groups effectively.

Flow is the first blockchain truly designed with builders and mass market user adoption in mind. Created by Dapper Labs, the team behind CryptoKitties, Flow will be the foundation for the next generation of decentralized applications with notable partners including NBA, NFL, UFC, Warner Music Group, Ubisoft, Animoca and many other well known brands.

  • Lead and grow an incredible team of engineers by hiring, mentoring, and coaching them in line with our organizational values of self-growth and high impact.
  • Working with the team you will defy accepted wisdom on the scalability of blockchain platforms.
  • Drive innovation across the team in terms of how problems in design, execution, testing, or operations are resolved.
  • Collaborate with other engineering leads to move the engineering practice forward and uphold and improve our execution standards.
  • Close gaps between technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure that everyone is aligned around the value we are creating for our users.

  • You have led teams and delivered solutions in organizations or projects with high ambiguity and demanding expectations on quality, performance and security.
  • You are an expert in scaling an engineering team by attracting and hiring the best.
  • You are experienced with conducting performance management to recognize high performers and support those who are struggling.
  • You have a strong product mindset and have delivered highly technical products where requirements are uncertain.
  • You have a deep engineering background with strong design, technical fundamentals and a history of high-quality execution.
  • You are an enthusiastic proponent of lightweight, agile project management.
