The Role

As the first Senior Analytics Engineer at QuickNode, you will have the opportunity to directly impact our data architecture and company performance through the creation of data pipelines and analytics modeling. Your work will be visible across C-Suite, VP, and Director Level stakeholders to report insights across the entire organization.
This role will fall under the DANA (Data Analytics and Automation) team, your primary responsibility is to establish a new data-driven decision-making culture within Quicknode. Additional day to day work will include ownership of the analytics infrastructure from data ingestion to reporting all while ensuring data quality, and DBT best practices are followed… We are currently using DBT and need someone who is experienced with setting up and maintaining the tooling.From time to time, if the need exists we may need this team member to step into the role of a data engineer or as a data analyst temporarily.
This role will be reporting directly to our Senior Data Analytics Engineer and working together you will identify ways to provide insightful access to all teams. The ideal candidate will have a background at working at startups specifically “SaaS” companies and have dealt with a variety of industry standard metrics such as MRR, ARR, CAC, LTV, Churn, ACV, NPS, and more.

What You'll Do:

  • Architect, build, publish, and maintain performant and reliable data models and pipelines to power
  • Self-service data consumption throughout the enterprise
  • Flexible querying and data visualization
  • Advanced analytical and scientific use cases
  • Serve as a data steward and subject-matter expert for a dedicated set of business and technology domains.
  • Drive data quality by transforming dynamic data and business logic into consistent and trustworthy datasets
  • Develop and evangelize development standards and best practices for data modeling and working with our data and tools.

What You'll Bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in a strategic cross departmental analytics
  • 5+ years of SaaS experience working in a data role
  • 5+ years analyzing data using SQL & Python in addition to a visualization tool
  • 1+ years of experience in DBT and implementing DBT best practices
  • Advanced understanding of data visualization principles
  • Experience navigating a fast-paced, dynamic working environment
  • Experience communicating technical results to technical and non-technical audiences across all levels of an organization
  • Working in any of the knowledge of data models surrounding Netsuite, Salesforce, and Stripe
  • You are comfortable with challenging requirements, telling leaders they are wrong, and then proving it
