Polygon is the leading platform for Ethereum scaling and infrastructure development. Its growing suite of products offers developers easy access to all major scaling and infrastructure solutions: L2 solutions (ZK Rollups and Optimistic Rollups), sidechains, hybrid solutions, stand-alone and enterprise chains, data availability solutions, and more. Polygon’s scaling solutions have seen widespread adoption with 37,000+ applications hosted, 1B+ total transactions processed, 140M+ unique user addresses, and $5B+ in assets secured.



Responsibilities

  • Design, Implement and launch new versions of blockchain nodes and maintain them
  • Work with the Research team to find optimized solutions and implement them
  • Work on networking protocol, consensus systems, systems throughput optimizations, and scalability
  • Building and evolving blockchain-based systems, proactively addressing security aspects of systems that are always online and always under attack
  • Lead the team of smart blockchain engineers and guide them whenever required
  • Coach and mentor other engineers in a constant learning culture

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience working with backend systems, of which at least 2 years in Rust
  • 2+ years of experience working with Rust, Substrate projects, or fork of it.
  • Good understanding of Substrate architecture, runtime, pallets and other concepts
  • Good understanding of networking protocols and distributed network
  • Good understanding of blockchain-related cryptography like a public key, BLS signatures, etc
  • Understanding of blockchain bridges, their fundamentals and architectures
  • Bonus: Experience working with low-level database programming & systems optimization
  • Bonus: Experience working with consensus protocols
