QA Automation

Applied Blockchain is a leading edge web3 software development company. Based in London and Porto (Portugal), Applied Blockchain has an expert team of close to 100 developers creating cutting-edge solutions for innovative clients in various sectors. Clients include Shell (also an investor in the company), Algorand, Chainlink and Ledger. We are building a new generation of decentralised solutions, working through some of the most interesting technical problems in this field such as data privacy, identity and wallet management, smart contract design, advanced cryptography and data security.

What you’ll be doing

• Building and maintaining automated test pipelines
• Analyse, understand, review the products’ functional and non-functional requirements and identify gaps and inconsistencies
• Develop automated tests for software validation, ensuring the high quality of the system
• As part of the QA team, take ownership of quality aspects of the system
• Report and manage/triage existing defects, ensuring proper follow-up and actions are being taken by the team
• Promote and adopt QA best practices, contributing to their continuous improvement
• Contribute to the definition of test automation guidelines and standards in order to improve the software testing process

Requirements

• QA Engineering Experience (software testing experience). You have at least three years experience writing automated tests for web and/or non-web based applications
• Knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes with fluency in Javascript/Typescript and Git/GitHub
• Knowledge of Jest, Playwright and/or Cypress and BDD tools (e.g. Cucumber)

Nice to have

• High volume, high availability, high stakes enterprise systems
• Experience building and/or testing REST and/or web socket based APIs
• Experience with trading applications (in production)
