The Role

And does the idea of building a world-class content function energize you? We are looking for a Content Marketing Leader just like you. As the Head of Content Marketing, your mission is to deliver inspiring content to grow our audience and engage our customers. You will develop, build and establish the primary voice of SureCo to drive conversations that take our brand to the next level.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage SureCo’s brand voice and content strategy in a way that is relevant to our champions and builds relationships and trust across every stage of their journey.
- Oversee brand voice and messaging across marketing communications, editorial channels, and earned media.
- Devise a strategy that will help us build our brand, engage new and existing customers, and drive revenue. Create guidelines that the whole company can follow and implement.
- Craft smart content distribution plans that reach the customers at just the right moment.
- Ensure engaging, clever, and fun tone of voice for every piece of content that gets launched.
- Work with agencies, freelancers and our internal teams to ensure both volume and quality of content.
- Own big bet editorial initiatives across blog, video, social, email, and thought leadership/PR.
- Bring both journalistic rigor and innovative flair to how we talk to customers through content.
- You'll help create customer case studies. You'll work with our top customers and help tell the story of how SureCo supercharged their businesses.
- Master the product knowledge and deeply understand the customer's emotional and functional profile to speak value in their language.
- You'll write blog posts. You'll write high-quality engaging content for our audience that spans tutorials, research reports, and more.
- Build and lead a team. After an initial focus on execution, you’ll have an opportunity to build the team that supports all content activities.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of Content Marketing strategy and leadership experience in sales tech, insurance tech, or consumer media, high preference for B2B background and experience speaking to HR teams.
- Have any four-year marketing, journalism, or digital technology program, ie. multimedia marketing, marketing communication and marketing management
- Passion for startups and building things from the ground up, possess a natural curiosity
- High bar for quality, brevity, and impressive creativity in writing.
- Ability to manage complex editorial calendars and pivot as needed to take advantage of new ideas and market moments.
