Senior Product Manager

Reserve believes having access to stable money is a human right. Hundreds of millions around the world don't have it. They struggle with inflationary currencies that prevent them from building basic economic security. Financial stability is out of reach for their families and communities.

The Reserve app & currency changes that. Tens of thousands have already switched to Reserve as their family's primary banking app.

But we're not a bank. Reserve is a new way money is stored & moved. This translates to new savings & spending experiences that requires first of their kind user experience & technical innovation.

We need your leadership and talents for Reserve to reach its first million and beyond.

As a Product Manager at Reserve, you will:

Define & Lead Roadmaps

• Reserve is moving quickly, requiring us to constantly take learnings from the frontiers of delivering stable money and update our model of where and how to invest for growth.
  • Deeply understand & organize scalability bottlenecks across operations, payment systems, consumer issues and turn them into well-articulated plans & roadmaps.
    
  • Balance the hard prioritization of executing fast-paced in the now while defining and aligning stakeholders on your team's medium-term plans.
  • Guide Team Discovery & Continuous Customer Development Efforts

• The currency issues that impact millions of families & businesses are diverse and require deep understanding.
  
  • Know how to do discovery well and be a student of continual customer development as a key driver for decision-making.
  • Externally, understand local markets & payment systems to uncover the creative ways for scaling our novel P2P fiat <->crypto payment rails.
  • Internally, become a domain expert on our scalability problems & opportunities. Seeing the details and being a few steps ahead.

• We're a first-mover banking in inflationary markets because we've seen the intersection of demand & technology where others only see obstacles. But these obstacles mean we must create novel ways to deliver value.
  • Build financial services & features with great user experiences that are trusted by families & businesses.
  • Able to get to a 'right' solution direction with your team without oversight. Doing so with delivery speed.
  • Be A Fantastic Cross-Team Collaborator

• Much of our operation is executed by our 100+ human attention teams. They have immense knowledge of our systems and customers that will unlock the path to continually more scalable services.
  • Effectively build & maintain rapport with a dozen teams & their leads across compliance, operations, customer experience.
  • Empathetically inquire & communicate to both understand situations & deliver results.

What Might You Work On Out the Gate?

• Building New Utility of our Stablecoin
  • We have the foundations with our stablecoin-based savings account & peer payments system. But there's much more utility needed for global adiotion. From Investments to credit and beyond.
• Improving Experience
  • We're early in the design of our platform. The breadth of experience & polish that was needed for our initial adoption in Venezuela is different than what we need for a global scale.
• Scaling Critical Systems
  • Our ambitious scope creates complexity in our legal, payments, and operations systems. You would balance interoperability & fragility, immediate needs & long-term sustainability, to grow these systems.

Requirements

We're looking for you if...

• You are a PM generalist. You are excited to lead many different challenging opportunities as the startup is evolving.
• You have 2+ years as a product manager.
• Our unique mission of using crypto to provide financial stability is an extremely motivating problem to work on for you.
• You value velocity, outcomes and have a track record for executing large surface areas of an organization by leveraging your teammates effectively.
• You have strong or growing analytics & qualitative customer development skillsets.
• You excel at presenting strategy and results to stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
• Proficiency or basic comprehension in Spanish. LatAm cultural knowledge.

What can set you apart

• Experience in financial services with consumer banking/payments fintech preferred.
• Having been an early product manager in startups that have gone on to be large successes.
• Previous mobile-first product development experience.

Senior Candidacy

With our growing team and ambitious product surface area, we're open to senior candidacy as well.

• 5+ years developing & delivering products.
• Clear leadership & ownership of high-impact & high-usage product lines.
• 0 to 1 new products, having gone through discovery -> solutioning with cross-functional teams.
• Deep expertise in areas of FinTech, Web3 or social.
