Location: Strong preference in Switzerland, or elsewhere in Europe

Interchain is a young, ambitious, and values-led team working on the core blockchain technology of the Cosmos ecosystem and the Cosmos Hub. The Interchain Foundation is headquartered in Zug, Switzerland, however we have a distributed team across Europe. We keep in touch through Github, Slack, Discord, and Zoom, and meet in person periodically (when COVID permits). All in all, the software we develop secures billions of dollars in value across many different systems, but we don’t take ourselves too seriously. We strive to build world-class software while having plenty of laughs along the way.

This role, a mid level position (with the prospective to grow into a senior role) is open to a Project Manager with a technical background who can deploy their great 'cat herding' skills in ensuring the development team is communicating effectively and following processes.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the creation and collection of yearly budgets, hiring plans, project areas from teams working on core infrastructure
• Facilitate OKR training sessions with Cosmos core teams
• Collect quarterly OKRs and roadmaps from core teams
• Run our quarterly reporting cycle and retrospectives
• Maintain periodic OKR check-in cadence within the ecosystem
• Establish efficient workflows among core teams that facilitate collaboration and a productive work environment
• Ensure the Foundation’s invoicing process integrates smoothly with our quarterly planning and reporting
• Synthesize quarterly reports into summary documents for the Interchain Foundation Council
• Keep Google Drive and Airtable organized and up to date with artifacts from the processes above as projects evolve
• Collect project requirements, establishing processes and assisting the dev teams in tracking their work as well as supporting cross-team communication

Skills / experience:

• English fluency and a comfort communicating ideas in written or verbal form
• Organized and detail oriented
• Comfort working in complex multi-party environments and structuring processes to manage this complexity
• Facility with Github, Google suite
• Experience using project management tracking software
• Strong interest in the technical aspects of core blockchain technology and the social dynamics of decentralized software production
• Prior experience with software project management is required
