Senior Product Manager

The Cardano Foundation is the independent, non-profit organization responsible for stewarding the advancement of the public, permissionless blockchain platform Cardano. Our mission is to establish the Cardano blockchain as the future financial and social system of the world for generations to come, driving adoption and facilitating development of the protocol. We aim to de-risk decentralization for regulators and organizations, while also giving the Cardano community the necessary tools and support to leverage the Cardano protocol to solve real world problems.

Based in Switzerland, the Foundation works to facilitate the use of Cardano in mission critical applications across a wide range of industries and markets, anchoring use cases in the off-line world and encouraging active on-chain participation and governance.

We are seeking a senior Product Manager with experience in the development, product and delivery management of large scale blockchain solutions.

The ideal candidate has comprehensive knowledge of Web3, decentralized applications, public permissionless blockchain technology, product delivery and release management in general and in particular about Cardano, its main software components (cardano-node, cardano-wallet) and extended builder ecosystem, roadmap, specifics of the network and consensus layer and processes related to network updates like protocol parameter changes or hard forks. Experience of working in the role of a Senior Product or Program Manager or a comparable role is a must.

• Provide guidance for a product development team.

• Define the standards for the Cardano Foundation when it comes to product portfolio management as well as the delivery management.

• Work closely with the Directors of Engineering and Infrastructure and align all product management related activities with their development and operations teams.

• Evaluate business opportunities, customer requirements and available technical solutions to define a roadmap for one of the Cardano Foundation products.

• You support all of our outsourcing activities from a product management perspective.

• Provide input to our Partnerships and Outreach and Marketing departments.

• Experience of working in the role of a Senior Product or Program Manager or a comparable role for at least 5 years is a must.

• The ideal candidate has comprehensive knowledge of Web3, decentralized applications, public permissionless blockchain technology, product delivery and release management in general

• Expert knowledge about Cardano, its main software components (cardano-node, cardano-wallet) and extended builder ecosystem, the roadmap, specifics of the network and consensus layer and processes related to network updates like protocol parameter changes or hard forks.

• Strong communication skills both in written and verbal form.

• Proficient English language and communication skills.

• Self motivated, independent and well organized. Someone who works well on her own and with a team.

• In-depth knowledge about applied cryptography methods like zero knowledge proofs, oblivious transfer etc.

• Knowledge about blockchain explorers, financial institutions and monitoring systems, software in the loop test systems.
