At Decentraland foundation we are building the future (and also the present) of human digital identities and interactions. Facing new and unique technology challenges that mix blockchain, user behavior, product roadmap and creators needs. All with a data driven and open data mindset.


At Data team we have the mission to let product teams and users/creators to make faster and better decisions with a data driven mindset. Covering a wide area: from ETLs to experiments, research, models, analytic, developing data products to make our solutions scalable and also educating in best practices and documentation.


What You'll Do

- Find opportunities to improve experiences and conversion results by developing data products with scalable solutions
- You will accelerate product development through your understanding of the underlying data and your ability to partner with product and technical leaders to provide insights that improve growth.
- Explore and test user behavior aligned with product teams to identify optimization opportunities and test it with A/B methodologies Design, code and deploy highly scalable models features (mostly in Python) to improve our retention goals and users experience.
- Help the team to make data driven decisions and educate them.
- Be proactive and creative to understand when to move fast for a solution and when you should take more time.
- Have ownership from end to end.


Requirements

- 3+ years of experience in data science & analytics or BI type roles.
- Proficiency with Data Science Stack: Python and Scientific/ML Python stack (numpy, scipy, pandas, mpl, seaborn)
- 3+ years of experience using big data query/processing languages and tools such as SQL, Hive, Spark and AirflowExperience with visualization tools such as Tableau, Metabase, Looker, etc.
- Data driven and scalable solutions mindset
- Team player. You develop alliances and methodologies to different teams and stakeholders to understand needs and be effective in data products development
- Strong expertise in quantitative research and applied statistical methods and advanced experiment design.Highly detailed-oriented to understand product needs and impacts
- Communication skills. You understand that analysis must be presented in meaningful ways and participate in spirited discussions about the findings. You have the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences and discuss appropriate tradeoffs.
- Fluent in english

- You have experience in implementing large scale systems in one or more of the following areas: Machine learning, recommendation systems, pattern recognition, data mining or artificial intelligence
- You have great communication skills with your team and stakeholders
- Domain knowledge related to gaming, communication, education, building out a platform, and/or enabling creators
- Domain knowledge related to blockchain data infrastructure
