THE ROLE

Localcoin is building up our Marketing department and we are on the hunt for a talented Content Strategist to help take our brand to the next level. As our Content Strategist, you'll be at the forefront of our efforts to create compelling, engaging, and effective content for a variety of channels, including social media and our website. With your keen eye for detail, your outstanding analytical and writing skills, you'll play a critical role in building and enhancing Localcoin's brand credibility in the fast-paced world of crypto. This role will provide you the opportunity to jump into many exciting projects and make a real business impact. This position will be based out of our office in Etobicoke, ON with a hybrid work schedule.

YOUR IMPACT

• Take ownership of developing, writing and revising compelling multi-channel content that demonstrates and enhances Localcoin’s brand in the Cryptocurrency space
• Collaborate closely with cross functional teams, business partners and marketing partners to develop meaningful content to Localcoin’s website, including blog posts and articles
• Analyze, optimize, and manage Localcoin's social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram, while monitoring and adjusting content performance strategies accordingly
• Closely monitor and manage our online reputation by responding to customer inquiries and feedback
• Develop and maintain a content calendar that aligns with scheduled marketing campaigns
• Conduct research to identify new content opportunities and stay up-to-date on industry trends
• Collaborate with SEO partners to ensure all content is SEO-friendly and optimized for maximum visibility and engagement

THIS IS YOU

• A university or college education in marketing, psychology, journalism, communications, or relevant work experience is required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in content strategy, copywriting or a related role within the fintech space
• Proven experience creating engaging and effective content for various channels, including social media and websites
• Experience in building, managing and growing online communities
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a keen eye for detail
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with cross functional teams and external partners
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to create content backed up by metrics and numbers
• Working experience with social media management tools such as Hootsuite or Later
• Familiarity with SEO best practices and keyword research tools
