About Swirlds Labs:

Swirlds Labs was established with the mission to accelerate the future, built on Hedera – the most used, greenest, enterprise-grade public ledger for the decentralized economy. Our vision is to enable ‘Shared Worlds,’ where anyone can gather, collaborate, conduct commerce, and control their own online footprint. We will enable this vision by continuing to provide development and other support for the Hedera network, building community and enterprise solutions that enable fast, rapidly scalable adoption of Hedera network services, and cultivating ‘moonshot’ projects that will change the way humans and organizations interact in cyberspace.

About The Role:

As a Senior Director of Product Management for the Hedera network, your job is to drive the platform roadmap of the Hedera Mainnet. By 'platform' we are referring to the distributed ledger itself and the network of validator nodes, the implementation of the Hashgraph consensus algorithm, the scalability of our decentralized state management architecture for fungible tokens, non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and smart contracts, the implementation of native staking or sharding capabilities on the network, etc. You will be responsible for capturing user requirements, market research, and competitive analysis to drive priorities for new platform features on the Hedera Mainnet. You will work with both the Hedera community and Hedera Governing Council to define, validate, and prioritize roadmap items. This will include defining epics and user stories to drive product development by Hedera’s engineering teams and partners. You will also work closely with business development and marketing to define the Hedera value proposition in the market. This can include supporting product messaging as well as defining integration models with the Hedera Mainnet.

You may find yourself doing all of the following:

  • Maintaining the platform roadmap with the Hedera community and with the Hedera Governing Council
  • Defining impactful OKRs and creating a product roadmap to deliver on these OKRs
  • Soliciting feedback on Hedera Improvement Proposals in partnership with the community
  • Working with key stakeholders to define product priority, requirements and scope
  • Communicating Hedera value proposition to partners and users
  • Conducting assessment of ecosystem and identifying competitive opportunities
  • Supporting successful partner and end-customer workshops
  • Being voice of customer, engaging and enabling developers and users from the community
  • Working closely with engineering, marketing and developer advocacy teams to lead successful launch on new features

Qualification Requirements:

Our Senior Director of Product Management should lean on their clear communication, prioritization, and organization skills to effectively drive a consistent set of priorities and value propositions across the organization. Relevant experience to this role includes:

  • Strong product management experience
  • Experience delivering scaled platforms and products that have stood the test of time
  • Engineering background to effectively participate in engineering scrums, understand issues, and assist in user support
  • Expertise in scaling infrastructures is strongly preferred

Other skills that are great to bring with you but that we can help you develop:

  • Existing skills working with systems integrators and major enterprise software vendors
  • Understanding of distributed ledger technology and software practices is a plus
  • Experience participating in an open source community
  • Technical writing skills as demonstrated via blog posts and other written work
