Our client is seeking an experienced academic to join us in a "Do-er" role. They require someone with advanced degrees to assist us in fulfilling a critical Grant application. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in project management, machine learning, and computer/data science.

Data Scientist / Data Science Engineer
The company is a software company that is building a revolutionary AI platform for ESG monitoring
and reporting. Our client's state-of-the-art platform assists executives in making their most important
daily decisions and tracking the performance of those decisions over time. They are currently
working to develop the environmental portion of our client's platform, which will include the
development of novel machine-learning algorithms and integration of ESG metrics.

Qualifications

  • M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Engineering or related Engineering Science
  • Experience with Machine Learning/AI (Python preferred)
  • 3+ years of team management experience
  • 3+ years of experience with data visualization tools (Tableau or Power BI)
  • Advanced SQL skills
  • Experience in a client-facing role

What you’ll be working on

About the Role
The role will initially serve as the “Principal Investigator” for a National Science Foundation
SBIR grant to help develop some of the core machine learning algorithms in the Heartbeat
Monitor, which is the environmental portion of our client's Platform. As a Data Scientist for their
team, you will be responsible for the analysis, design, and development of data solutions for
our client's Platform. The right candidate has advanced development and data science skills
and is a fast learner, detail-oriented, and a great team player.


Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of AI-based and machine-learning models for the platform (i.e.,
    Markov Random Fields (MRF) and DNNs)
  • Translate business requirements to technical specifications including database and
    table structure analysis, risks, and assumptions for outlined solution delivery
  • Design and build dashboards utilizing Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools as needed
  • Conduct internal Quality Assurance testing activities
  • Deliver usability training for the Platform to their clients’ end users
  • Receive, troubleshoot, and manage support queries from clients
  • Analyzing data of medium-size companies across the globe
  • Write SQL Queries
  • Provide technical support across internal business streams
  • Foster and grow client relationships through product adoption and revenue growth
  • Provide support to the sales team by identifying business development opportunities
    and assisting with client proposals/demonstrations
  • Other responsibilities as requested
