IT Systems Engineer

ABOUT THE POSITION:

We are seeking an Information Technology (IT) Systems Engineer who has a detailed understanding of and previous work experience with deploying, supporting, and managing enterprise cloud-based technology infrastructure and end user computing systems. The ideal candidate will have previous hands-on working experience with the firm’s technology stack which includes M365, Exchange online, Active Directory, ADFS, Group Policies, SharePoint, Zoom, Okta, Windows, MacOS, and various third-party SaaS solutions. The candidate will be passionate about providing exceptional end user support, while improving, automating, and transforming the infrastructure. An outstanding engineer will be someone whose expertise translates into secure, fast, and reliable infrastructure services.

Responsibilities:

• Own and manage enterprise cloud infrastructure
• Develop and maintain Microsoft Windows network infrastructure connected to Windows and MacOS end-user systems
• Provide remote end user support and guidance in a multi-site, primarily work from home environment
• Configure and manage hardware and software technology for end users
• Test and certify new operating systems and software versions
• Integrate and automate processes using custom scripts or third-party solutions
• Architect and integrate new systems, managing the migration of data and users from older systems
• Perform onboarding and offboarding of users and technology
• Work closely with Information Security team to design and implement key IT security controls
• Manage networks (routers, switches, firewalls), protocols (SMTP, DNS, LDAP, NTP, HTTPS), and cloud-based systems
• Provide after hours and on-call support

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information security, computer science, engineering, or related field.
• Experience working in distributed support teams using Agile methodologies
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in designing, building, and supporting cloud-based infrastructure:

  • Microsoft Windows 10 end points
  • Apple MacBooks

  • System, network, and storge administration/engineering
  • Configuration management tools
  • Monitoring, logging, and reporting tools
  • Automation scripting languages
