Research Engineer (Frontend)

We are seeking Research Engineers specializing in Frontend Development to join Mad Labs, Madhive's research and development organization, with the goal of building software like it’s 2035. We work on hard problems in adtech as part of a fast-paced small team. Besides serving as a model to the industry, these prototypes are also used by other departments at Madhive.

What you’ll do:

• Develop solution hypotheses to novel problems in adtech, typically working on several problems at once
• Build and iterate prototypes that (in)validate those hypotheses;
• Report to management on progress, successes achieved, and learnings from failures
• Present successful prototypes to Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams at Madhive.
• You’ll contribute as part of a small team to create novel, inventive, or revolutionary adtech prototypes that are ML-forward, UX-elegant, and data-performant using the following tools:
• Outlandish & Interactive Data Visualization
• Proficiency with Flutter, primarily with deployments for web
• gRPC-web
• Material Design
• Testing
• Figma
• Adobe After Effects UI/UX animation and transitions

Who you are:

• Experience with product design and development, especially in a fast-paced or startup environment
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in data science, engineering, or a related field
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in product development or R&D
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Willingness to invalidate your own previous hypotheses and develop new stronger hypotheses.
• Strong ownership mentality, attention to detail, and ability to multitask

Compensation

The approximate compensation range for this role is $150,000 to $250,000. The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package and benefits, will be determined by a number of factors, including the applicant's experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity among our team.
