Junior DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities and Duties

In this position you will manage infrastructure projects and processes. A keen attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and solid knowledge base of the Software Development Lifecycle are essential.

Primary Responsibilities

• Design and implement build, deployment, and configuration management
• Work directly with Engineering and Quality Assurance teams to test system integrity
• Build and test automation tools for infrastructure provisioning
• Handle code deployments in all environments
• Monitor metrics and develop ways to improve systems and processes
• Build, maintain, and monitor configuration standards
• Manage CI and CD tools
• Improve infrastructure and application development
• Consult with peers during testing stages
• Follow all best practices and procedures as established by the company

Qualifications and Skills

• B.S. or B.A. degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
• 2+ years of experience in development operations, or related IT, computer, or operations field
• 2+ years of experience with full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Experience with Linux infrastructures, database SQL (MS SQL), CI/CD tools
• Experience with Powershell, Bash, Python, Go scripting
• Knowledge of basic networking concepts
• Experience working with Cloud services like Azure, AWS or GCP
• Up-to-date on latest industry trends
• Self-motivate and self-learning ability in adapting changes of technology and regulatory requirement
• Must have production support experience & should be willing to work on production support projects
• Experience with source control management systems and continuous integration/deployment environments
• Experience / Understanding of Docker, Kubernetes or related container management system
