About the role

As a Product Manager - Platform at Agoric, you’re an early member of the growing product team that will grow and productize the Agoric smart contract framework into an industry leading platform for third party developers to launch decentralized applications.

Your focus will be driving the framework level capabilities to provide differentiated capabilities to smart contract developers and improving developer experience across a variety of metrics. You will work closely with third party builders launching decentralized protocols and act as the voice of the customer in engineering prioritization meetings. You will also need to work with Agoric engineering and developer relations to understand our unique capabilities and possible opportunities and to lead educating the market about them.

What you will be doing

• Develop strategic goals and growth objectives for the Agoric Platform in conjunction with the product team
• Specify development work to achieve our goals and take lead in defining the roadmaps and making tradeoff decisions
• Coordinate development with third party chains, organizations, and technical partners
• Deeply understand the web3/crypto developer mindset through to the end user and represent that voice inside the company
• Effectively communicate with the Agoric community through Discord, Telegram, Slack, and live conferences

What we look for in you

• 5+ years experience of Product Management. Or 3+ years of PM with prior experience in a software development role
• Technical background sufficient to manage a highly technical product and speak to developers
• Experience managing a platform product with developer customers
• Knowledge of JavaScript
• Demonstrated grasp of issues across technical and strategic levels
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• New product launch and product life cycle management experience
• Proven experience working cross functionally with engineering, business development, and marketing

Nice to haves

• Professional software development experience
• Crypto/Web 3 experience in personal or professional life. Demonstrated interest in blockchain technology and smart contracts
• Have previous experience at a fast-paced, high growth stage internet/software company

Minimum requirements

• Work authorization in the U.S. or Canada
• Undergraduate degree

Comp: $150,000-$170,000 Base salary
