Genesis is expanding geographically and adding new business segments and the team needs a dynamic communications and marketing leader that can help fuel its growth. The successful candidate will be a strategic partner to the Genesis leadership team, responsible for the team’s strategic external and internal communications, social media, and brand marketing initiatives. The candidate will need to be highly organized, possess strong verbal and written communications skills, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop overall communications and marketing strategies
• Develop press strategy and deepen relationships with key press contacts and reporters that cover financial services, technology, and the crypto industry
• Identify communications goals and develop and manage reports and analytics to measure successes against organizational objectives
• Develop key messaging and build the Genesis brand globally
• Liaise with key leaders across DCG and Genesis, including sales, trading, technology, legal, and compliance teams
• Lead marketing efforts to build Genesis brand and assist sales and trading teams
• Develop internal communications strategy
• Develop social media strategy to amplify Genesis business lines and industry reports
• Draft, edit, and disseminate press releases
• Coordinate speaking engagements (keynotes, moderating, etc.) for Genesis team

Requirements

• 5-10 years of relevant communications and marketing experience at financial services, technology, or digital currency company
• Experience with digital currencies, blockchain, financial services, and/or fintech preferred
• Outstanding verbal and written communications skills, a creative mindset, and strong attention to detail
• Prior experience drafting and disseminating press releases
• Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn: experience with maintaining corporate accounts as well as curating and overseeing social media campaigns
• Strong interpersonal skills – this role will sit at the intersection of multiple business units
