Compliance Officer - Regulatory Compliance

Compliance Officer - Regulatory Compliance is an intermediate level position responsible for the ongoing design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the 100x Compliance program, with particular focus in tracking and advising on regulatory developments, and the delivery and enhancement of internal processes related to compliance with relevant regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Track and analyse regulatory changes in jurisdictions that the business currently operates in, and potential new jurisdictions
• Advise the business on licensing matters, including setting up new offices, operations and businesses
• Implement controls, monitoring, policies and procedures to meet relevant regulatory compliance requirements
• Participate in industry groups and engage with regulators / associations to ensure current controls and processes are in line with regulatory expectations and industry practice
• Work with Legal on customer complaints, regulatory enquiries and maintain detailed logs
• Conduct regular compliance training to employees of the firm
• General compliance coverage

Experience and Qualifications:

• 5+ years in private practice litigation, regulatory or in-house bank regulatory, legal/compliance
• Experience in dealing with regulators and/or handling regulatory enquiries or regulatory audit
• Legal qualification preferred
• Fluency in written and spoken English
• Excellent verbal, presentation and written communication skills: ability to present and articulate to senior leadership
• Good team player with a strong sense of collaboration
• Proactive, solution-driven and adaptable to change
• High level of integrity and professionalism, with high attention to detail
• Ability to prioritise competing demands
• A genuine interest in the cryptocurrency industry
